Best fifa game in the series
Matches play out at a quick pace, and every player's touch is perfect. It's unclear if the lack of realism was intentional or due to the technology of the time. Regardless, the game is fun to play. While the series truly hit its stride a few years after FIFA 07, this title deserves some credit for putting things into place.
For one, it brought the franchise to the next-gen of the time as it was the first entry in the main series to be released on the Xbox As a result, the animations and visuals took a giant leap forward in this one. In-game physics became more realistic, too, particularly when it came to collisions and ball movement. The arena was also introduced in this title, which would later transform into the skill games mode. In fact, some entries in the Konami franchise were among the best sports games of that period.
The edition - by name, not release date - is a prime example of PES's quality. The soundtrack is strong, the presentation is beautiful, and the game's advanced AI makes each match exciting. It didn't particularly reinvent the series as fans know it, but it is still among the best PES games nevertheless. PES felt like the moment where Konami really perfected their signature style of football. Matches are played at a decent pace while still being realistic, and actions like passing, shooting, and dribbling, all feel satisfying.
Plus, the referees' incredible leniency in regards to fouls helps everything flow nicely. Some of the game's modes could've done with as much of a revamp as the gameplay. But still, the title provides a very enjoyable soccer experience. The mode has since gained infamy, particularly due to its heavy use of microtransactions. At the time, though, it was a very original and interesting concept. Elsewhere, the gameplay sees improvements from its predecessor, primarily due to its new collision system allowing for more realistic-looking jostles and tackles.
Overall, it's a strong instalment. So naturally, the presentation improved as EA made use of the powerful new hardware. Players looked more life-like, stadiums were more impressive, and the crowd included more detail.
From a visual standpoint, it rivals the best sport simulation games of the s. Other areas of the game didn't change as much. In this case, though, it wasn't entirely a bad thing as in the early s FIFA was at it's best. Therefore the lack of originality didn't get in the way of the fun of the game. This game completely revamped both the gameplay and presentation of the series, making the whole thing look and play more like the real thing.

FIFA 10 FIFA 10 was one of those versions to make a quantum leap forward, with EA introducing true degree player movement for the first time, instead of the old eight-way directional system dating back to the 90s.
The meaty Virtual Pro mode, meanwhile, proved to be the most compelling single-player EA creation yet — Ultimate Team was once again a standalone download for PS3 and Xbox That being said, it looked good enough for its time and the gameplay worked well.

This iteration also brought an online option for two players, which was a huge factor for the game. Allowing people the option to play against each other is something that enhanced the game even further, with the online aspect of FIFA being one of its strengths. FIFA 17 kept the majority of things fairly similar when it comes to the traditional gameplay, however, this game featured a huge change with the addition of a completely new mode.
Adding in 'The Journey' was something fresh and instantly made this game stand out. Creating more of a story mode to play, it followed one player as gamers had to take him through the ranks and was a welcomed change to the franchise. The story was detailed and allowed for a good amount of creative control outside when it came to his career and the conversations he could have with others.

It was more advanced and the fact it took the game up a notch really helped ensure that the people continued to play as FIFA moved forwards. FIFA 09 brought a big step up in graphics once again, with everything about the game looking fantastic.
But it will be remembered for truly nailing the Be A Pro mode, which allowed players to grow as one player within a team, raising their score with a specific focus on the positional play. The rest of the aspects also worked really work for a strong overall game. This is one of the classic FIFA games that has stood the test of time, still being seen as one of the greatest despite the fact that technology has advanced a lot since this was released.
It was one that brought in a lot of gamers as it has differing varieties in terms of difficulty, which made the game more accessible to others. This game also saw a big focus on the stadiums, the fans, and the overall experience, rather than just the gameplay itself. Adding in better celebrations made it a lot more fun, while the step-up in graphics in comparison to what had come beforehand was a nice addition.
By this point in the series, FIFA had established itself as the king of the sport, even though Pro Evolution Soccer has managed to give it a true challenge in recent years. But when FIFA Soccer 11 arrived, it was still the toast of the town to the point where it won several awards as the top sports game of the year.
The game found success by expanding the online aspect with custom avatars and boosting the gameplay on the PC version.
